Sam founded Mystic Transport Services, Inc. in 1989 and continues to drive Mystic's strategic direction. Sam's clear vision and real-world knowledge are key elements of Mystic's success.
Previously, Sam held executive positions in transportation management, distribution management, and operations in start-up, medium and large business environments. He has held the positions of Vice President of Trans-Advo and Vice President at Harte Hanks. Before that, he held key positions at Yellow Freight Systems and Oshmans Sporting Goods. Sam is a graduate of the University of Houston.
Joanne co-founded Mystic Transport in 1989. Her extensive operational knowledge has been a key element in Mystic's success. Joanne is currently responsible for all of Mystic's transportation operations. Centralized dispatch, routing and optimization are particular areas of expertise.
Prior to Mystic, Joanne held various executive positions with Ensign Bickford Co., Combustion Engineering and ADVO. She was the first female President of the Central Connecticut Transportation Association and is a former member of Delta Nu Alpha and the Traffic Association of Massachusetts. Joanne is a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School and received her Associates degree from Holyoke Community College.
Bill joined Mystic in 1998 with over 20 years of diverse experience in financial management, including business, system and financial planning. He also has extensive experience in development, financial reporting, capital and debt financing, internal control evaluation and construction project development.
Bill is responsible for development, formalization and management of the overall financial controls for Mystic operations. Currently, definition of management practices, policy, procedures and cost containment structures are his primary focus. Bill has also held various executive and management positions with Resorts International, Inc., Mirage, Inc. and Philadelphia National Bank. Bill is a CPA and a graduate of Rutgers University.
Appointed Vice President, Sales of Mystic in April, 2006, Charlene was formerly National Accounts Manager with P&L responsibility for 85% of Mystic's mail management clients. Ms. Dufresne began her career as a Customer Service Representative at Trans-ADVO in 1994 and transitioned to sales. She joined the CAM Logistics division of Mystic four years later, which was subsequently merged into Mystic Logistics.
A graduate of Bay Path College, Ms. Dufresne is a member of the New York Postal Customer Council and Direct Marketing Association.
Dan joined Mystic in early 2009 with over 25 years of supply chain experience. He has served in various executive roles responsible for all aspects of the supply chain in various industries including manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical equipment, consumer goods, and third party logistics. He has held roles at Abbott Laboratories, Varian Associates, Applied Bio-Systems, Office Depot, and Tibbett and Britten Group, NA. His most recent position was Regional Vice President responsible for the direction and leadership of 18 distribution centers managing the accounts of over 100 clients. Prior to that, Dan worked for a multi-national 3 billion dollar 3PL as the VP and General Manager of a business unit responsible for the leadership of over 2,300 employees.
Dan is responsible for all of Mystic's warehouse and distribution operations. His primary focus is to develop and maintain high performance supply chain operations focusing on continuous improvement designed to delight our customers. He attended West Virginia University and the University of Phoenix and holds a bachelors degree in Business Management.
